Call Forwarding lets you leave home without worrying about missing a call, just forward your calls to wherever you go. Whenever you have to be away from your phone Call Forwarding is the Smart way to keep your calls moving in.

Instructions:

  1. Listen for a dial tone.
  2. Dial *72
  3. When you hear a second dial tone, dial the number where you want to forward your calls.
  4. When the number you called is answered, your Call Forwarding service is working.
  5. If you receive a busy signal or no answer, hang up and repeat steps 1 through 3.
  6. Two short tones tell you Call Forwarding is working.

To Cancel:

  1. Listen for a dial tone.
  2. Dial *73.
  3. Two short tones tell you Call Forwarding has been cancelled.

Remote Call Forwarding subscribers may now turn their Call Forwarding feature "on" or "off" from any touchtone telephone. It is no longer necessary to return to your home or office to forward your calls to another number or turn your Call Forwarding feature "on" or "off".

You must also subscribe to Call Forwarding before Remote Call Forwarding will work.

To Use Remote Call Forwarding:

  1. Lift the reciever and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial the Access Directory Number and wait for special dial tone. Access Directory Number: 573-Your Prefix-2000
  3. Dial your own telephone number followed by a # sign and your Personal Identification Number (four digits) and wait for a special dial tone. Your PIN number is assigned at installation.
  4. Follow the instructions for the feature you wish to activate or deactivate.

Selective Call Forwarding lets you forward only selected calls to another telephone number. You may have up to 10 directory numbers on a Selective Call Forwarding list. Incoming calls that originate from directory numbers on your Selective Call Forwarding list will be automatically forwarded. All other calls will not forward.

To Use Selective Call Forwarding:

  1. Dial *63 and follow the recorded instructions.

Call Forwarding - No Answer allows you to forward your calls to another telephone number after 2 to 9 rings. You get to pick the number of rings.

To Activate:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *92 (rotary dial 1193).
  3. Listen for a second dial tone. Now enter the number of rings to be allowed before the call is forwarded.
  4. Dial the telephone number where you wish your calls forwarded.
  5. Follow steps 5 and 6 under Call Forwarding.

To Deactivate:

  1. To deactivate Call Forwarding - No Answer, press *93 (rotary dial 1193).
  2. Listen for two beeps then hang up.

Call Forwarding - Busy allows you to send your calls to a different telephone number if your line is busy.

To Activate Call Forwarding - Busy:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *90 (rotary dial 1190).
  3. Listen for the second dial tone.
  4. Dial the telephone number where you wish your calls forwarded.
  5. Follow steps 5 and 6 under Call Forwarding.

To Deactivate Call Forwarding - Busy:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *91 (rotary dial 1191).
  3. Listen for two "beeps", then hang up. The feature is no longer in effect, and calls will ring on your phone.

Easily transfer a call to someone else.

How it works:

You can transfer a call to another number or add a third person to a call. When you're ready to hang up, the other two people can continue their conversation.

To transfer a call:

  1. Press and quickly release the "switchhook" to place the person you're talking with on hold.
  2. Listen for the dial tone.
  3. Dial the third person's phone number. (If you have speed calling, you may dial one of your codes instead.)
  4. When the third person answers, you can talk privately before making it a three way conversation.
  5. To complete the transfer, press and quickly release the "switchhook." You can now talk with both people at the same time.
  6. Hang up. The other two people can continue their conversation.

To cancel the transfer:

  1. You can cancel the transfer at any time - if the thrid person did not answer, you received a busy signal or recording, or you wish to cancel the transfer after talking to the third person. Just press and release the "switchhook" twice. You'll be reconnected to the person holding.

Note: Any chargeable or long distance calls you place for the transfer or three-way conversation will be billed to our number. The "switchhook" is the button the handset pushes down when you hang up the phone. Some telphones have a Link or Flash key you can press instead.

Expecting a special call doesn't mean staying off the phone. With Call Waiting, your calls come through even when you're on the line. The Call Waiting "beep" tells you when someone is trying toreach you. Then you just put your present call on hold while you answer the second call. Great for busy couples, roommates, and especially families with teenagers.

Instructions:

  1. If you are talking on the phne and you receive another call, you'll hear a "beep" tone. The person calling will hear normal ringing until you answer.
  2. Tell your first caller you have another call. When that person hang up, you will be connected with the second caller within two seconds.
  3. If you want toput the first caller on hold to answer the second call, press the switchhook (the button that hangs up the phone) for one second. Theis will put your first call on hold and connect you to your second call.
  4. To return to the first caller, press the switchhook for one second. This will return you ro your original call and put the second call on hold. You can repeat this process as often as necessary.

Cancel Call Waiting:

Turn on Cancel Call Waiting when your making an important call and talk as long as you want with no interruptions. After you finish your call, Call Waitng returns automatically when youhang up the phone. Cancel Call Waiting assures you of uninterrupted phone calls during important conversations, when talking long distance or when using your personal computer modem. Cancel call waiting is an automatic feature of call waiting.

Instructions:

Before placing a call...

  1. Listen for a dial tone.
  2. Dial *70.
  3. Listen for three short tones, followed by a normal dial tone.
  4. Dial the telephone number.

During a call....

  1. Press the swithchook (the button that hangs up the phone) for one second.
  2. Dial *70.
  3. A tone will be heard and you will be automatically reconnected to your call.

Allows distinctive ringing to be applied to an individual line, wher each of two numbers, a min number and an alternate number will have a uniquely distinctive ring for customer identification. Because two telephone numbers are associated with one telephone line, only one conversation can be conducted at a time. Both numbers may be listed in the telephone directory. This is great for children roomates, or business calls at home.

Speed Calling saves you time and effort. There is no need to search for important numbers since your phne remembers up to eight or thirty of them. Dial with an easy one or two button code.

Instructions:

To save a number using Speed Calling 8......

  1. Listen for a dial tone.
  2. Dial *74.
  3. Listen for a second dial tone.
  4. Dial a one digit code for each number (2 through 9), followed by the telephone number the code represents.
  5. Two short tones indicate the nuber has been stored.

To save a number using Speed Calling 30.....

  1. Listen for a dial tone.
  2. Dial *75.
  3. Listen for a second dial tone.
  4. Dial a one digit code for each number (20 through 49), followed by the telephone number the code represents.
  5. Two short tones indicate the nuber has been stored.

To place a call...

  1. Listen for a dial tone.
  2. Dial one of the Speed Call codes followed by the * button.
  3. Your call will go through after a short pause.

Three-Way Calling eliminates "back and forth" calling by letting you talk to two people at the same time. Three-Way Calling lets you hold a three way conversation with friends, relatives, or business associates. You can decide who, where, and when all in one smart call.

Instructions:

  1. Call the first party as you normally would.
  2. While conected to the first party, press the switchhook (the button that hangs up the phone) for one second. This puts your party on hold.
  3. Listen for three fast beeps and dial tone.
  4. Dial the number of the third party. When the call is answered, you may talk privately before bringing your first party back on the line. Press switchhook for one second to establish a Three-Way Call.
  5. If you receive no answer or busy signal, press and release the switchhook twice to return to your first party.

To disconnect.....

  1. Hang up & both parties will disconnect.
  2. If either party hangs up, your call with the remaining party will continue.
  3. Disconnect the second party yourself by pressing the switchhook.

How it works:

Help is not far away - even when you can't dial the phone. Your telephone can automatically dial an emergency number for you.

To use:

  1. Lift the handset and wait 30 seconds.

  1. Begin dialing within 30 seconds after lifting the handset.

Note: You must select the telephone number to be dialed when you sign up for Warm Line service. To change the number, contact your local telephone company.

Calling Name and Number ID lets you see the number and/or name of an incoming caller. The number and/or name will be displayed on your device between the first and second ring. A customer provided calling name and number display device is required for the feature. More information is available through your local telephone company.

Blocks calls from those who are blocking their name and number when calling you. This service is provided at a small monthly charge to any subscriber with Caller ID service. Anyone who uses one of the blocking options when calling you will be automatically sent to a recorded message informing them you do not wish to recieve blocked calls.

  1. Dial *77 (rotary dial 1177).

To Deactivate Anonymous Call Rejection:

Returns calls to the last number that called you, whether or not your answered the phone.

To Activate Automatic Recall:

  2. If the line is: - Not busy, listen for normal ringing. - Busy, listen for announcement, then hang-up. When the line clears your phone will give you a distinctive ring.
  3. When you pick up the reciever, the number will automatically be dialed.

To Deactivate Automatic Callback:

  1. Dial *89 (rotary dial 1189).

This feature will enable you to automatically redial busy or unanswered numbers. The network will automatically redial and then ring when the connection is made. You may also use it to redial the number dialed from your phone.

  1. Upon reaching a busy number, hang up.
  2. Immediately lift the receiver again and dial *66 (rotary dial 1166).
  3. If the line is: - Not busy, listen for normal ringing. - Busy, listen for announcement, then hang-up. When the line clears your phone will give you a distinctive ring.
  4. The telephone system will check the number you diald for 30 minutes. When the line is free, your phone will ring.
  5. If you answer it, it will then ring through to the number you called.

To Deactivate Automatic Callback:

  1. Dial *86 (rotary dial 1186).

Activate: *57

Call Trace allows you to automatically trace the last incoming call you received. A successful trace receives a success message.

To Activate Call Trace:

  1. Hang up.
  2. Lift the receiver and dial *57 (rotary dial 1157).
  3. Follow recorded instructions.

Notes on Call Trace:
Traced call information is provided upon request to a law enforcement agency only, not to the subscriber. It is essential that the Call Trace action, pressing *57 (rotary dial 1157), be done immediately after you hang up the phone following the offending call. If you delay taking action and receive a subsequent call, Call Trace will not trace the original number.

Activate: *64

This feature allows you to define a list of up to 12 calling numbers that will be accepted. All other incoming calls will be rejected and will recieve and announcement that the called party is not presently accepting calls.

To Use Selective Call Acceptance:

  1. Dial *64 and follow the recorded instructions.
